Over the years many different groups have performed at this event including The Contemporary Music Ensemble, Counterpoint, Fermata Nowhere, Jazz Ensemble, Strings, Small Group Perfomances, Subway Dwarves and The Treble Rebels. Often recent alumni return for the tradition of singing the Halleluia Chorus at the end of the concert.

In addition, several college A Cappella groups perform. NHS Alumni bring their college music groups back to Needham. The concert takes place in late January at the High School Auditorium.

Vocal Support is a concert benefitting a charity chosen by the students in the four NHS a cappella groups The Needham groups invite high school a cappella groups from nearby towns.

The NHS Senior Awards Celebration & Cabaret (just “Cabaret” for short) is a casual, high-energy end-of-the-year event to celebrate and recognize the soon-to-be graduates of NHS performing arts classes and groups. In addition to music performances by various school ensembles, a cappella groups and other student musicians and bands, the event features an awards and scholarship presentation and light buffet.
