Welcome to NHS Friends of Music

NHS Friends of Music, Inc. (FOM) is a non-profit organization in Needham, Massachusetts that supports all music programs at Needham High School and fosters community among students, parents and music faculty.  Our support includes the FOM Bob Ayoub Instrument Fund, educational grants for students and travel assistance to music program opportunities, funds for uniforms and tuxedos, and hosting annual social events for the entire NHS music community. We strive to inspire students’ passion for music and to help maintain the excellence of the NHS music programs.


SAMD Production of "RENT" Nov 21-23

Students Acting to Make a Difference (SAMD) are using their passion for theater to make a difference in the world.  In their eighth annual production, over 50 Needham High School students, under the direction of Paul Duprey, will be performing the musical "RENT" at the Pollard Middle School on Friday, Nov. 21st and Saturday, Nov. 22nd at 7:30pm and Sunday, Nov. 23rd at 2:30 p.m.  Please note: "RENT" School Edition contains adult themes.

All net proceeds from this production will be donated to Cradle to Crayons a charity selected by the cast members. Tickets are $10 and can be ordered in advance. Any tickets still available may be purchased at the door.

NHS FOM Officer Positions 2014-15

The following board positions are open for 2014-15 school year. These are crucial roles to the success of the organization.

Corresponding Secretary: Keeps the FOM membership informed through the monthly newsletter and emails (using Constant Contact). Responsible for updating the membership database annually. Updates the website and can include social media.
